Lars Dahl Pedersen finished his education in 1999 as a dancer and choreographer from the Danish National School of Contemporary Dance. After that he studied in New York and London. Since 1999 he has choreographed performances which have been playing at places like: Dansescenen (Copenhagen), Arken - Museum of Modern Art (Copenhagen), GRAN teater for dans / Archauz (Århus), Dansstationen in Malmö (Sweden) and Den Anden Opera / Plex (Copenhagen). In 2005 he created his first full evening work: Plane Rough Surface - quiet poetry can also be noisy. At Short Stories 2007 in Copenhagen at the theatre Dansescenen Lars Dahl Pedersen created ”Running Sculpture”, The dance company Mancopy in Århus, Denmark, have had the piece in the repertoire since 2008. Running Sculpture toured to Canada, Italy, Holland and Wales in May 2010 with the network Dance Roads: In 2008 Lars Dahl Pedersen created his second full evening performance DERANGED ELEGANGE. Torben Kastrup from the Swedish site Danstidningen wrote: ”A still life of beauty. Deranged Elegance may well be one of the most exciting performances of this season…” (translated) A new piece ”Between Us” was created for the 2nd year students at the National School of Contemporary Dance in June 2009. And the third and latest full evening piece ”ALWAYS NOW SLOWLY” premiered in Copenhagen at the Carlsberg ground in Marts 2010. Lars Dahl Pedersen was chosen as 1 of 2 danish choreographers to participate in the international network CHOREOROAM 2009. 12 choreographers met during this year in Zagreb, Rotterdam, Bassano Del Grappa, London, København and Madrid. Coming up: New experimental dance video premiering at the festival The Big Intensive in Dansehallerne in October 2010.
